The Finish Well Weekend

A practical, biblical and highly personal weekend built to help your congregation and your leaders step back, recognize where they are in the journey, and learn how to faithfully navigate the seasons ahead.

Many start. Few finish. Fewer finish well.

Now booking into 2027, when most churches are setting next year's calendar.

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey, and along the way every one of us encounters moments with the potential to shape the trajectory of our lives.

Some we see coming. Others we do not. Some deepen us. Others can derail us. The question is not whether we will encounter these defining moments. The question is whether we will know how to navigate them when we do.

Finishing well does not begin at the end of our lives. We build a well-finished life one season, one decision and one defining moment at a time.

CAUTION→ CRISIS→ CONVERGENCE

Three defining moments every follower of Jesus will encounter, often more than once.

A complete weekend for your church

Three complementary experiences

The weekend is customized around the needs of your church. These are the pieces it is built from.

SATURDAY
CHURCH-WIDE WORKSHOP

3 Defining Moments

Every follower of Jesus must learn to navigate these to finish well

Caution. Crisis. Convergence. Every follower of Jesus will encounter these three defining moments, often more than once, and how we respond can significantly alter the trajectory of our lives.

  • Caution. Those seasons when something in our life is beginning to drift out of alignment and God is getting our attention.
  • Crisis. The unexpected moments when life as we knew it changes and we are forced to navigate loss, disruption, disappointment or uncertainty.
  • Convergence. Those seasons when who God has formed us to be and what He has called us to do increasingly come together.

In this interactive workshop Ken helps people recognize where they are, understand what their present season may require of them, and identify the next faithful steps they need to take.

SUNDAY
SIGNATURE MESSAGE

Building and Living a Well-Finished Life

If Ken had only one message left to give, this would be it

Every follower of Jesus wants to finish well, but finishing well does not happen by accident. Drawing from Psalm 90, personal stories, and lessons learned across more than six decades of following Jesus, Ken helps people see their lives from a larger perspective.

Whether someone is in their twenties, forties, sixties or eighties, this message asks them to consider where they are in the journey, who they are becoming, whether they are giving themselves to what matters most, and whether they are living today in a way that will let them finish well tomorrow.

It is deeply biblical, personal, hopeful and practical, designed to help people live the years God has given them with greater intentionality and purpose.

LEADERSHIP
SESSION

Beat the Odds

A proven path to finishing well in life and leadership

The journey of leadership is filled with pressures, transitions, opportunities, disappointments, successes and defining moments that can either deepen a leader or derail one.

In this focused session for pastors, staff, elders, ministry leaders and key volunteers, Ken helps leaders step back from what they are doing long enough to examine the trajectory of both their life and their leadership.

The framework behind the weekend

Being, doing, and the moments in between

These three dimensions have to stay aligned if a follower of Jesus is going to stay healthy, remain fruitful and ultimately finish well.

THE PATH TO FINISHING WELL DEFINING MOMENTS The moments that can alter the trajectory CAUTION CRISIS CONVERGENCE BEING Who am I becoming? DOING What am I uniquely equipped to accomplish? FINISH WELL BEING + DOING + WISELY NAVIGATING DEFINING MOMENTS
Every follower of Jesus leaves with a clearer understanding of where they are in their own journey, and what they need to pay attention to in the season ahead.
